Fidgets and Chew Aids – September Update

From September, if your child requires a fidget or chew aid to support their learning, please contact our SENCo team by emailing senco@cherryorchard.greenwich.sch.uk.

We are happy to work with you to identify the most appropriate resource for your child's individual needs and ensure it is used effectively within school.

Please note that, from September, if your child brings a fidget or chew aid from home, it will be sent home with them. Whilst we appreciate that these resources can be incredibly beneficial for some children, personal items brought into school can often become a distraction or source of disagreement between pupils, reducing the intended benefit for the child using them.

By working together, we can ensure that any sensory resources provided are appropriate, purposeful and used consistently to support your child's learning and wellbeing.
