Forest School
Forest School is an innovative educational approach to outdoor learning. It allows children to build a love of the outdoors through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment. Some of the activities the children take part in: identifying seasonal changes, birdwatch, finding and identifying minibeasts, digging, building, mud making, using natural objects to create artwork and sculptures, role play, sorting and counting natural objects.
Forest School particularly supports children’s personal, social and emotional development by building their self-esteem, confidence and independence.
Children in Nursery and Reception attend regular Forest School sessions
